STS125 successfully launched on mission to service Hubble

by Eric on May 11, 2009

The Space Shuttle Atlantis was successfully launched from Launch Pad 39A at the Kennedy Space Center at 2:01pm EDT.

The seven-person crew will spend the next 11 days repairing the Hubble Space Telescope. The mission will undoubtedly be bittersweet as it will probably be the last time the Hubble will be visited by humans.

I’ve rigged up the box with the NASA TV feed to the left.
